President's Bio

Fred Thompson, MPM^® RMP^®

Fred Thompson started his real estate career specializing in residential property management in 1988. After working for a broker, he decided to go independent with RE/MAX 200 Realty in 1998 and started the RE/MAX 200 Realty Property Management Division.

Fred has a staff of three full-time property managers, one full-time bookkeeper, and one-full time assistant. He and his staff currently manage 350 single-family homes with an average rental value of just over $1,200 per month, most of which are located in Northeast and Southeast Orlando.

Fred has been very active with NARPM®. On a national level, Fred has served as a Director in 2006, Treasurer for 2007, President-Elect for 2008, and currently President for 2009. Fred joined NARPM® in 1995 as a founding member of the Orlando Chapter and has served as Membership Chair, First Vice President, President-Elect, President, and Past President.

Fred achieved his Residential Management Professional designation (RMP®) in 1997, and his Master Property Manager designation (MPM®) in 2006. Fred is also an approved instructor for many of the RMP® and MPM® courses.

Fred has attended many national, state, and regional conferences since 1996 to stay abreast of current trends in the residential property management arena.
