First Time Attendee Welcome Reception & Orientation

If this will be your first time attending a national convention, make sure to arrive a little early and come to the First Time Attendee Welcome Reception and Orientation. This is a great opportunity to meet NARPM® Leadership and get to know other first timers. You will also get valuable tips on how to get the most out of your experience at the convention. This is a special "invitation only" event for first time attendees to the convention and is included in your convention registration, so plan to be there!
"LEADERSHIP By Example" President's Celebration

Prior to the opening of the convention, attendees are invited to join NARPM® President Jayci Grana, MPM® RMP®, for a "LEADERSHIP by Example" Celebration at the Washington National Zoo! This is a ticketed event and space is limited so register now for this popular event.
NARPM® Business Development Training

This year NARPM® is partnering with internationally renowned speaker Kivi Bernhard. This half-day event will focus on business development strategies. The session will beheld on-site at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. Register now.
Exhibit Hall Grand Opening and Reception
Wednesday, October 17, 2012 (6:00 – 9:00 pm)
Our Grand Opening of the Exhibits and Opening Reception will be held on Wednesday, October 17, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The ribbon cutting for the Trade Show will be performed by the 2012 NARPM® President, the 2012 Convention Chair and the 2011 Affiliate Member of the Year.
The NARPM® "LEADERSHIP By Example" Gala and Dinner
Friday, October 29, 2012 (6:00 – 10:00 pm)
Friday evening convention attendees will gather at the hotel from 6:00 – 10:00 pm for a relaxing evening of fun and networking. There will be a cash bar reception and a dinner with special entertainment. Additional details will be in the Convention Brochure due to be mailed in the spring. There is an additional fee for this optional event. Register now.

Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Tuesday, October 16, 2012 (8:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Past presidents of NARPM® invite you to join them at their annual Golf Tournament to benefit their chosen charities. This year's event will be hosted by past presidents, Rose Thomas, MPM® RMP®, and Kit Garren, MPM® RMP®, and will benefit the ALS Association and the Corporate Angel Network respectivley.
Rose selected the ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter in honor of her brother Tony, who has been bravely battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS - also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) since 2008. Tournament proceeds will be used to establish a fund in Tony's name which will provide financial assistance to patients for expenses not covered by insurance, such as special equipment and modifications to their homes.
The Corporate Angel Network is Kit's charity of choice. This non-profit organization's sole mission is to help cancer patients access the best possible treatment by arranging free travel on corporate jets to transport patients to specialized treatment facilities across the country. The assistance provided not only improves patients' chances of survival but also reduces the emotional stress, physical discomfort and financial burden faced by the patients and their families. Kit and his wife Marilyn lost their daughter Jessie to a rare form of cancer in 2008, but experienced firsthand the life-extending services of the Corporate Angel Network and their caring network of volunteers.
