Brian Birdy

Brian Birdy, MPM® RMP®

Brian Birdy, MPM® RMP®, was born in Orlando, FL into a military family. He attended the University of Texas San Antonio from 1983-1985. He then joined the United States Air Force, where he served for 15 years. In 2000, he earned his Texas Real Estate License and went to work for Birdy Properties, the family business. He is currently broker and owner of Birdy Properties, CRMC®, a third generation family owned and run real estate company, specializing in property management in San Antonio, TX. He took over the one person company in 2005 with 80 properties, joined NARPM® in 2007, and has grown the business to more than 22 employees who manage more than 850 properties.


Dave Holt

Dave Holt, MPM® RMP® CPM®

Dave is the president of R.P. Management, CRMC® in Minneapolis, Minnesota where his company manages over 500 single family and small residential rental properties. Dave holds the Master Property Manager (MPM®) and Residential Management Professional (RMP®) designations and his company holds the Certified Residential Management Company (CRMC®) designation. He served on the National Board of Directors from 1991 through 1995 and again in 2004. As a Board member, he served as chair for the Education, Convention, Nominating and Long Range Planning Committees and was the National President during the 1994-95 term. Dave now serves NARPM® through committee involvement, teaching convention courses and seminars and the RMP®/MPM® courses.


Kate Roth, MPM® RMP®

Kate Roth, MPM® RMP®, is the founding member of Amethyst Realty Group, LLC. Kate has been in the property management and real estate field since 2006 and has managed an assortment of properties from single family homes to an apartment complex with over 100 units. Kate has also closed several successful real estate transactions representing sellers and buyers throughout her career. In 2020 Kate became an instructor with the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business. With the school Kate teaches Pre-Licensing Sales, Continuing Education as well as Broker Pre-Licensing classes. Kate is actively involved with NARPM in the Southwest Region serving as an Ambassador for 2022-2023 and has held Board positions with both the Denver Chapter of NARPM as well as the West Valley Chapter in Phoenix.


KellieTollifson

Kellie Tollifson, MPM® RMP®

Kellie has been in the Property Management business since 1996, first as a landlord managing her own investment properties and then soon after as an Owner of T-Square Properties, which now manages over 400 properties and 40 Homeowner Associations. Kellie is the VP of Operations and oversees all of the day-to-day activities of the business located in Woodinville, Washington; which is a suburb of Seattle. Kellie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from San Jose State University and is a Past President of the King County Chapter of NARPM® . She earned her RMP® Designation in 2010 and her MPM® Designation in 2012. She has served on several NARPM® committees, including Finance and National Convention. She also participated in the 2014 Strategic Planning at the NARPM® headquarters in Virginia. Kellie currently serves as the 2014 National Member Services Committee Chair. Kellie was the 2020 NARPM® National President and currently serves as a national Instructor and is the 2022 National Instructors Subcommittee Chair.


Liz Cleyman, MPM® RMP®

Liz Cleyman, MPM® RMP®, is an Executive Property Manager at Grace Property Management in Denver, Colorado as well as the Broker/Owner of Blue Sail Property Management in Jacksonville, FL.

Liz’s focus is on single-family homes and she has worked with 100’s of investors, both large and small, over her 14 years of experience. Liz joined NARPM® in 2012, received her RMP® in 2015 and her MPM® in 2018. Liz has served at the local, state and national level for NARPM®, including the 2016-2018 National Member Services Committee, the 2017 National Finance Committee, the 2015-2016 Florida State Chapter Board, the 2015-2016 Tampa Bay Chapter President and she was the Southwest RVP from 2018 to 2020.

Liz was the 2022 National President and is currently enjoying her role as the Past President of NARPM. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, playing golf, and exploring the Rocky Mountains.


Michael McCreary

Michael McCreary, MPM® RMP® CPM® GRI

Mr. Michael A. McCreary, MPM®, RMP®, CPM®, GRI, owns and operates McCreary Realty Management, Inc., an Accredited Management Organization® (AMO®) firm as designated by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).  McCreary Realty Management, Inc., AMO, is a family owned and operated real estate management firm offering professional property management of single-family homes and single-family home subdivision homeowner’s associations in Marietta, Georgia, a suburb in Northwest Atlanta. Mr. McCreary has been licensed since 1978.  Throughout Mr. McCreary’s almost 40 year career, he has managed thousands of properties for thousands of owners. Mr. McCreary has been a Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) member of IREM since 1987. He is the recipient of the Georgia Chapter’s “Certified Property Manager of the Year” award for 1992. In 1995, he was inducted into IREM’s “Academy of Excellence” for course instructors.  He was presented with the IREM National “Professional Achievement Award” in 2013. He has also received the Cobb County Board of REALTORS® “1992 REALTOR® of the Year – Management” award and in 2001 received the “Excalibur Award for Lifetime Achievement.” Mr. McCreary is an active member of the National Association of Property Mangers (NARPM®) since 1998 and has been awarded both the Residential Management Professional (RMP®) designation and the Master Property Manager (MPM®) designation.  Mr. McCreary was recognized as one of the Volunteer of the Year – 2015 recipients Nationally.  Mr. McCreary is Chair of the 2016 Education Sub-Committee of NARPM®.


Mike Nelson

 

 

 

 

 

Mike Nelson, MPM® RMP®

Mike Nelson was originally licensed as a real estate salesperson in 1977. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1981 with a BBA in Real Estate and became licensed as a real estate broker that summer.  Mike has received the GRI designation from NAR.  Mike is an instructor for NARPM and the Georgia Association of REALTORS®.  He speaks and teaches classes around the country for various NARPM chapters and REALTOR® organizations on the topics of property management and real estate investing.  The Georgia Real Estate Commission, his state’s regulatory agency, selected Mike to serve on their Education Advisory Committee to represent the needs and concerns of the property management industry before the Commission. Mike is the managing broker of Excalibur Homes, LLC, CRMC®, which is one of a handful of companies across the country to receive the Certified Residential Management Company (CRMC®) designation from NARPM.  Excalibur represents over 4,000 rental homes in the Metro Atlanta area.


Paul Arrington

Paul Arrington, MPM® RMP®

Paul Arrington, MPM® RMP®, began his REALTOR® and Mortgage experience after culminating a successful 20+ year career with the United States Air Force. Prior to starting Arrico Realty and Property Management, Paul worked as a REALTOR® and Mortgage Broker with Keller Williams Realty, Total Home Source, Inc., Florida Mortgage Funding, and Premier Mortgage, where he closed millions of dollars in real estate transactions. Paul started Arrico Real Estate and Property Management in January of 2008 and has managed thousands of homes for both large scale hedge fund investors, as well as smaller investors and “accidental landlords. “ Paul joined NARPM® in 2008. His designations represent his commitment to further educating himself about property management, but also gives him the advanced knowledge to train his staff to achieve excellence in the field. Paul was also the Founding Chairman of the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors® (GTAR) Property Management Task Force and President of the NARPM® Tampa Bay Chapter. He was the 2015 Education Chair for the NARPM® Florida State and Tampa Bay Chapters and also serves on the GTAR Property Management Task Force.


Scott Abernathy

Scott Abernathy, MPM® RMP®

Scott Abernathy, MPM® RMP®, bought his first rental property, in 1989, while still serving in the United States Air Force. After attaining his Bachelor of Science Degree from Middle Tennessee State University, with a minor in Real Estate, Scott sold homes for Coldwell Banker, where he continued to acquire rental properties and began managing properties for clients. In 2007, Scott was hired to be the managing broker of a local Prudential Real Estate Franchise and develop their property management division. In 2010, he partnered with Reliant Realty, forming Reliant Property Management. Ultimately, Scott franchised with Property Management Inc., where he now manages properties for PMI Professionals in Nashville and PMI of Memphis. Scott has wrote and teaches two education classes for Tennessee Real Estate Licensee Continuing Education, one titled The Tennessee Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, the other Property Management: Basic Policies and Procedures. Scott is also a certified Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (REBAC) instructor, teaching the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) Designation Class. Scott joined NARPM® in 2007 and soon learned there were many better ways of doing business. Scott has served as a chapter officer, Nashville Chapter President (2010), National Government Affairs Committee Chairman (2015-2016), Atlantic Regional Vice President, NARPM® National Treasurer, and NARPM® National President (2020).

Betty FletcherBetty Fletcher, MPM® RMP®

Betty is owner and principal broker of Fletcher Property Management, Inc., CRMC®, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has managed residential rental property since 1992 and is currently managing about 260 units for 88 owners. Searching for property management-specific education, Betty joined NARPM® in September 1999 and is the founding president of the Central Arkansas Chapter. She also served as chair of the 2003-2004 Membership and 2006 Editorial Committee. Earning her RMP® designation in February 2001, Betty continued striving for excellence and received the prestigious MPM® designation in September 2002. Fletcher Property Management, Inc. is proud to be the first in Arkansas to have earned the CRMC® designation.


 

MelissaPrandiMelissa Prandi, MPM® RMP®

Melissa Prandi, MPM® RMP®, is President & CEO of PRANDI Property Management, Inc., CRMC® and co-owner of PropertyADVANTAGE. She has been expertly pairing quality tenants with quality homes in Marin County for more than 35 successful years. Melissa’s enthusiasm and experience in the industry have not only led to a fulfilling and illustrious career, but have helped transform her into the respected community leader, sought-after teacher, and nationwide motivational speaker that she is.  Melissa has been asked to speak on behalf of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®), the California Association of REALTORS®, the software company her companies utilize (Propertyware, a Real Page Company) and on behalf many other organizations. Author of two industry-related books, The Unofficial Guide to Managing Rental Property and The Idiot’s Guide to: Success as a Property Manager, Melissa proves her passion for excellence by sharing her vast knowledge of the field she loves so much with first-time landlords and experienced investors alike.


Kathleen RichardsKathleen Richards, MPM® RMP®

Kathleen’s real estate experience and love for property management goes back 27 years with remodeling homes with her husband and, subsequently, owning and managing her own rentals. Kathleen has worked in the property management field professionally for more than 12 years and has received professional designations from NARPM® (CRMC®, MPM®, RMP®). She has been President of the NARPM® Monterey Chapter, and Vice-President of the NARPM® California State Chapter for 2009-2010, Served as Vice President of the NARPM® Monterey Chapter for 2007-2008. She has served on state and local property management boards and remains active in her associations.  In 2015, she published her first book, Property Management A-Z. Kathleen has taken her passion for teaching and education to the next level and has become a Certified Professional Coach and in January of 2016 launched her Coaching and Consulting business – The Property Management Coach.  She has a successful thriving company (Portola Property Management, Inc.) that runs without her, which allows her to pursue working with other success-minded property managers to help them take their companies to the next level. In addition to her international and business experience she has traveled to over 48 countries and loves learning about other cultures, food and its people.


Steve Schultz

Steve Schultz, MPM® RMP®

Steve Schultz, MPM® RMP®, graduated with honors from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working for Shell Oil Company and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, he decided he wanted to take on the challenge of building a company from scratch. He began by building his own portfolio of residential rental properties. As he built his rental portfolio, he also wanted to create a property management company that would maximize the interests of the property owner. From the onset, Steve has been dedicated to learning from Property Managers around the country. Upon founding Blue Fox Properties, LLC, CRMC®, he immediately sought out and discovered NARPM®. Steve has been selected as one of only six instructors from across Arizona to teach the Arizona Association of Realtors® Certified Residential Property Manager courses. In addition, he is a Certified Instructor of property management continuing education courses in Arizona. He is also a national speaker, instructor, and author. Steve is the Designated Broker and Owner of Blue Fox Properties, LLC, CRMC®,  in Tucson, Arizona.


Vickie Gaskill

Vickie Gaskill, MPM® RMP® CPM®

Vickie started her career in property management over 26 years ago. Originally, she worked as a vendor that serviced the property management industry. She came to work for Bell-Anderson and Associates, LLC, in May of 1986. In September of 2002, she and her husband, Tim, purchased the company. Vickie has earned four professional designations: two from NARPM® (MPM® and RMP®), and two from the Institute of Real Estate Management (CPM® – Certified Property Manager and ARM® – Accredited Residential Manager). In 2005, Bell-Anderson was approved as an IREM® Accredited Management Organization (AMO®). Vickie has managed homeowner’s associations, single-family dwellings, small multi-family communities, and a few small commercial properties.

Past President Bart Sturzl, MPM® RMP®, is Co-owner and Broker of Bella Real Estate, Inc. in Austin, Texas. Bart has Degrees in Management and Marketing, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in both. Bart was the 2012-2014 South Central Regional Vice President (RVP) for NARPM® and has also served at the National level on the Communications, Professional Development, and Membership Committees. He has served NARPM® at the local level as Secretary, President-Elect, President, and Past President of the Austin Chapter. Bart has also served at the State level on the Texas Association of REALTORS® Property Management Committee and at the local level on the Austin Board of REALTORS® Property Management Committee. Bart was the NARPM® 2015 President-Elect and the NARPM®  President in 2016.
