We are growing and currently seeking a motivated Assistant Property Manager Advocate (APMA) who will represent a book of accounts internally at our company. The APMA will handle a broad range of tenant requests and be their main point of contact. This role includes responsibility for ensuring PM related tasks are completed and proactively initiated as needed at various stages in the property management lifecycle. The job requires a mix of online work and on-site visits to single family or small multi-family properties (2-4 units).

Responsibilities include rental leasing and showings, managing maintenance requests, inspections, and all tenant and lease related matters. A candidate must have access to a reliable vehicle to travel locally to multiple sites. Some Saturday and evening work is required. The APMA is backed up by a Property Management Lead who will provide support, training, and coaching.

Requirements:

Assistant Property Manager Advocate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • At least 1 year of overall experience in property management preferred, especially working at a large apartment management company as a Leasing Specialist or Assistant Property Manager.
  • Experience preferred in hospitality, high-end retail, or as a transaction coordinator in a real estate sales office or a processor in a title or settlement attorney’s office.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with property management software, and ability to quickly learn other software.

Other Attributes for Assistant Property Manager Advocate:

  • Experience in DC and DC rental laws
  • Superior writing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional phone manner
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and possess the art of making people feel special
  • A high level of organization with the ability to track, prioritize, and manage a large volume of details
  • Ability to resolve matters and assigned tasks promptly, thoroughly and equitably
  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload in order to balance competing demands, deadlines, as well as complete day-to-day tasks in a timely fashion
  • Must possess an extreme attention to detail, yet flexible when required

Compensation:

Benefits for Assistant Property Manager Advocate:

Full-time employees enjoy two weeks paid vacation, 9 paid federal holidays, access to a group health plan with employer contribution, and access to Vision, Dental and AFLAC coverage. A transportation allowance is provided to offset parking expenses and all employees participate in a profit-sharing bonus program.

Compensation for Assistant Property Manager Advocate:

$45,000 – $50,000
