Sweyer Property Management is an industry leader in long-term property management.  We have been providing a high level of quality service to property owners in Wilmington and the surrounding areas for over 30 years due to the dedication of our highly knowledgeable and expertly trained team members.

The Sweyer team is currently on the search for a General Manager. Position is full time, Monday-Friday, 8-5pm daily. Salary is negotiable based upon experience with benefits.

The General Manager is primarily responsible for leading the achievement of business objectives. The GM will run our established quarterly operating system to achieve our business goals, manage the accountability of business leaders and team members, develop the strategic direction of the business in cooperation with the business owner, manage profitability, and manage performance of team members.  The GM will also be accountable for client retention, implementation of processes and procedures and will participate in business development efforts.  Prior property management and/or real estate experience is required. An active North Carolina Real Estate license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage performance of Property Managers and all other team members
  • Assist in the identification, selection and retention of high performing team members
  • Help to grow the company revenue through portfolio management
  • Recommend and implement value added services
  • Work with Business Development team to sign new clients
  • Monitor quality systems for all properties managed
  • Address escalated customer concerns
  • Manage key relationships with property owners and vendors
  • Ensure management contract terms are adhered to
  • Manage compliance of business processes by team members

Requirements:

  • Active North Carolina Real Estate license required
  • Prior property management and/or real estate experience
  • General knowledge of local real estate market and home rental values
  • Proven track record of effective leadership
  • Ability to lead, manage and hold accountable a high-performance team
  • Represent SPM in the most professional manner
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
