Stone Oak Property Management ( is seeking a full-time General Manager/Executive Leadership for immediate hire. One of the partners are currently running the firm and is ready to step down and hand over control to the right person.

Stone Oak is a locally owned, Austin grown management company. We currently manage single-family homes, condos and a handful of small multi-family dwellings. The owners are very involved in running the business but are looking for someone who has what it takes to grow the company with us and relieve many of the owner’s responsibilities. The hours for the job will vary from season to season and depending on the given work load for the week. This is not a typical 8-5 job as some night and weekend time will be required. Our company is growing rapidly, so this must be someone who can adapt to change quickly.

Our ideal candidate will have been in property management for at least five years with the bulk of that spent in a strong leadership capacity. We use both Appfolio, so experience with this software program is a plus as well, but not required.


Some of the job responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing managers in various departments within the firm.
  • Handling escalated tenant and landlord issues.
  • Overseeing financials of the company.
  • Staffing as required.
  • Handling multiple tasks daily to ensure nothing slides through the cracks.
  • Setting and managing expectations and KPI’s throughout the company.
  • Too much to list here, there are many more

This job should be for someone who has either been in this type of role before or similar leadership position. We are not looking for any applicants without a strong leadership background. This role in our company must have the ability to have staff follow you because they believe in you and your ability as the leader, not just because they are told to do so. This role is located in Austin, TX and will require relocation if you are not already here. A real estate license will be required if you don’t have one already.
