Position Overview

The Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM) oversees residential property management teams, providing mentorship, resolving challenges, and ensuring compliance. This role includes managing a small portfolio while supporting and enhancing departmental performance. The SPM will conduct meetings, evaluate performance, facilitate training, and monitor key metrics to measure success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor new property management staff.
  • Support HR and management in recruiting and onboarding new talent.
  • Lead team meetings and one-on-one check-ins.
  • Provide performance feedback, conduct reviews, and evaluate pay.
  • Develop and improve departmental processes.
  • Manage workflow during employee absences and approve time tracking and leave requests.
  • Ensure compliance through routine audits and reporting.
  • Assist with onboarding new properties.
  • Address escalated tenant and owner concerns.
  • Represent Landmark in professional associations.
  • Manage a small residential property portfolio.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of property management experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team management experience.
  • ARM designation

 

Education/Certification

  • College degree in a relevant field preferred but not required with qualifying experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-driven with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Financial and technical proficiency.
  • Customer-focused with excellent conflict resolution skills.

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Office-based with occasional travel (up to 20%) to properties.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform prolonged sitting and typing.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

 

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office setting and involves regular use of standard office equipment.

Compensation:

$85,000-$95,000
