Join us at the 30th Annual NARPM Convention and Trade Show to celebrate 2018 and all of the best from this #GetINVolved year. Our largest event of the year brings together exciting keynote speakers, thought-provoking workshops, awards ceremonies, and the opportunity to build your professional networks with leaders in the industry.

There are big changes in store for #NARPM2018. We’re keeping everything you’ve loved about convention and adding more! There will be a different look and feel to the flow of the event this year. One big difference is that we will take over the entire hotel.

This year’s convention will be the only large event held at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort the week of October 16-19, 2018. That means that pretty much everywhere you go, you will be surrounded by NARPM® family and friends. Once you see pictures of this year’s exquisite location, you’ll instantly see why you don’t want to miss this year’s event!

The Loews Coronado Bay convention hotel is SOLD OUT! You  may contact them directly to see if they have a waiting list. We encourage you to consider booking a room at either the Hotel Del Coronado or the Glorietta Bay Inn. There will be a shuttle running to the Loews from these hotels.  We will post additional options as they become available.

Starting with the President’s Celebration on Tuesday evening, October 16, this will be an all-inclusive event (with exception of the Past Presidents’ Charity Golf Tournament and the Designation/Education classes on October 15).

Until September 16, 2018, registration is at the lowest pre-convention rate. After September 16, 2018, registration prices increase. This event is worth the wait; but that doesn’t mean you have to pay more. The trade show for the convention is already SOLD OUT for exhibitors. Make sure you book your hotel and register for the convention before spaces fills up. You still have the option of signing up for the Basic Convention or the Enhanced Convention, which includes videos of all workshop sessions. Register Now for the Convention

Did you know that there is a team discount for the Annual Convention? When two or more NARPM® Members from one office register for the entire convention, the second and each additional registrant receive a $50 discount for their entire convention registrations. Learn More about Team Discounts

“This event is always packed with new and exciting ideas to help you achieve your financial goals. If you gain one idea that grows your business, the trip becomes and investment. You’ll get a lot more ideas than that.” 2017 Past-President Steve Shultz, MPM® RMP® See how #NARPM2017 was Engineered for Your Success.

With new schedule changes, there will now be three full days of convention. We will have more breakout sessions than ever before. A unique quality for our convention is that our workshop sessions have tracks to meet the needs of broker/owners, property managers, and other industry members.

Great panel discussions are scheduled for this year, including the first ever “NARPM® TALKS” session. This is a TED Talk-inspired session with multiple experts addressing an important topic for NARPM® Members.

This year’s vendor expo will be the largest one we have ever held. 2018 President Brian Birdy, MPM® RMP®, explains, “More square feet means more vendors and more vendors mean more opportunity for you to find the right fit to make changes to improve your business. You will need to plan time to meet all the great vendors who will be attending.”

There will be a special celebration for everyone who has earned their designations this year. Current candidate packages need to be submitted by August 3rd to be celebrated at the 2018 NARPM® National Convention.

You also don’t want to miss our annual business meeting and the swearing in of the 2019 National Board of Directors. You’ll be on-hand to hear President-Elect Eric Wetherington’s, MPM® RMP®, vision for NARPM® during 2019.

Here’s a taste of the greatness that’s in store for #NARPM2018. Meet the keynote speakers:

Wednesday morning, October 17 starts with an outstanding opening speaker, Michael Veltri.

Michael Veltri is a battle-hardened entrepreneur, bestselling author, and top rated business transformation keynote speaker. Recognizing that our successes, both organizationally and personally, are the culmination of our daily decisions, Veltri elevates organizations and improves lives through better decision-making practices.

From ancient Japanese warriors to brain science; from business titans to academic research, Michael tapped wide-ranging resources to develop a groundbreaking model for better decision making. Surprisingly simple and eminently effective, Veltri’s approach has impacted some of the world’s most prolific organizations, brands, and leaders.

Michael is also a cancer survivor, decorated Marine Corps veteran, and master-instructor in the Japanese martial art of Aikido. He brings his martial arts discipline and Marine Corps leadership to every keynote speech inspiring, motivating, and educating audiences worldwide.

Thursday, October 18 will bring Mark Sanborn.

Mark Sanborn, CSP, CPAE, is president of Sanborn & Associates, Inc., an idea studio dedicated to developing leaders in business and in life. Mark is an international bestselling author and noted expert on leadership, team building, customer service and change.

Mark Sanborn graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University. In addition to his work as a business educator and author, Mark continues to be an active leadership practitioner, including having served as the president of the National Speakers Association.

Mark holds the Certified Speaking Professional designation from the National Speakers Association (NSA) and is a member of the Speaker Hall of Fame. He was honored with the Cavett Award, the highest honor the NSA bestows on its members, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the speaking profession. Mark is also a member of the exclusive Speakers Roundtable, made up of 20 of the top speakers in America.

He has created and appeared in 20 videos and numerous audio training programs. His video series Team Building: How to Motivate and Manage People made it to the #2 spot for bestselling educational video series in the U.S.

Mark’s list of over 2400 clients includes Costco, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, FedEx, Harley-Davidson, Hewlett Packard, Cisco, KPMG, Morton’s of Chicago, New York Life, RE/MAX, ServiceMaster, ESPN, GM, IBM, Avnet, Sandvik and John Deere.

“We each know how good we have become,” Mark says, “but none of us knows how good we can be. One of the most exciting opportunities we get each day is to pursue our potential.” Mark Sanborn challenges his audiences with this message and provides insights for extraordinary living.

Friday, October 19 will close out this year’s event with laughter from  speaker Greg Schwem.

Comedian Greg SchwemGreg Schwem’s comedic take on the 21st century workplace and work/life balance has landed him on SIRIUS RadioFOX News, Comedy Central and the pages of Parents Magazine. More than just a business humorist, Greg is also an author, nationally syndicated humor columnist, award-winning greeting card writer and creator of funnydadinc, voted one of the top Dad humor sites of 2016.  He has shared the concert stage with the likes of Celine Dion and Jay Leno.

A graduate of Northwestern University’s prestigious Medill School of Journalism, Greg never envisioned a career in laughter. Instead, he settled in Florida, becoming an award-winning reporter for NBC-owned WPTV in West Palm Beach. But the comedy bug bit Greg hard and he returned to his hometown of Chicago, where he honed his standup act in nightclubs. When he began inserting material about business and technology into his act, audience members approached him and said, “You really should come down to my office and tell those jokes.” Behold! A new approach to comedy was born.

Greg’s show provides a hilarious look at today’s corporate environment and the latest tools used to conduct business. Indeed, Greg’s client list includes such corporate heavyweights as McDonald’s, Microsoft, General Motors, IBM, Hyatt Hotels, United Airlines and Cisco Systems. What sets Greg apart from other corporate entertainers is his ability—and willingness—to customize material for his audience while working within the parameters of the corporate environment. That means no profanity or politically incorrect material. “That’s never been a part of my show anyway,” Greg recently told a reporter.

When Greg hits the stage he already has perused the company’s Internet site, combed the internal message boards and even sifted through numerous PowerPoint presentations. “There is no such thing as too much information,” Greg says. “I know corporate audiences like to laugh at themselves so the more ammunition I get, the funnier it will be. Just don’t give me a 10-K report. There is NOTHING funny about that.”

Greg’s preparation always includes a conference call with company executives and, in some cases, an onsite visit.

Besides customized material, Greg entertains audiences with stories about tedious business meetings, SmartPhone addiction, “frequently” asked questions and his fascination with the American Girl Doll company. In addition to his hefty speaking schedule, Greg writes a weekly humor column nationally distributed by Tribune Media Services. He also is the author of Text Me If You’re Breathing: Observations, Frustrations and Life Lessons From a Low-Tech Dad and The Road to Success Goes Through the Salad Bar:  A Pile of BS (Business Stories) From a Corporate Comedian.
